Earth Odyssey

In late 2006 I helped Benji source his Rohloff and worked on some sponsorship from Surly for him through the bike shop I was working at. He had an interesting trip up through the east coast of Australia and then through S.E Asia and through Southern China. Its a pity he has run low on money and now has to work to fund the next leg of his adventure but I wish him all the best and hope he can get back on the road soon. Check out his website.

Bikes in Japan

Here is a selection of bikes I saw during a trip to Japan in 2008. Japan's cities were very bike friendly there was dedicated bicycle parking on most streets full of weird and wonderful types of bikes. The museum shots were of the Shimano cycle museum in Osaka. They had a great collection of bikes with all manner of groupsets on them not just their own.

Golden Rohloff

Golden Rohloff hub pictured at Eurobike. What a fitting way to post my first blog to place a picture of a golden Rohloff. I feel like Charlie Bucket out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I want one but know I can't have one...
